Hello, and Lord bless you!! I pray all is well with you today. This is LJ. I wanted to write you about the update on my Mom. You’re probably saying. "What are you talking about?" I’ll refresh your memory, if necessary.
October 31, 1999, my Mother was at Healing Waters so she could meet you. You gave a word to Vivian at SeaTac Worship Center in October of 1998. You spoke of a woman that was very sick and Vivian was going to pray for her and her life would be extended.
Well, the next day, Vivian and I went to pray for Mom. She was near death, and probably wouldn’t make it through the year of 1999; dying with 2 incurable diseases. After prayer, she got up, showered, went to lunch with us, rode from Edmonds to Tacoma, visited the grandkids, testifying of her healing and stayed all day with us. She got home late that night totally excited. We were and still are grateful to the Lord for healing Mom. She was completely healed to the amazement of the doctor and nurses. It was a gradual healing. She used to go to the oncologist every week, then it turned to every month, then it turned to every 3 months, just so the doctor could see her. Her healing was a testimony to so many.
March of this year, 2000, Mom went on to be with the Lord. The first week in March Vivian and I went with Mom to her doctors appointment at Virginia Mason Hospital. They took the blood work, and examined her. Once more the doctor said there are no traces of cancer in her blood, and no disease in her body. We went to lunch, as we usually do after her appointments. Little did I know it would be the last time I’d see my Mom, on this side of heaven.
A week later I got a call from my sister in Edmonds saying that Mom had died at home. Shocked, yes I was. I am so grateful for the extension that the Lord gave her to glorify Himself, and to bless her family and friends. She died sitting on her couch, fully dressed, no signs of pain. My sister says she looked like she was taking a nap. Days later we found out that she had spoken to her sister in Virginia and told her that the Lord was taking her home tonight. She gave prophetic words to her sister that were right on, and very encouraging to her. I praise God for her healing, and I’m also grateful that Mom got a taste of the love of God, and the sense of His presence the last few years of her life.
Lord bless you. We’ll be praying for Victory Christian Ministries. I woke up this morning thinking that I should have taken notes on the message, because it spoke to my heart. I wanted to hear it again. Well, today I received the newsletter. What a blessing this message was to Thomas and I. I know the rest of the people were blessed too. I’d like to get that message on tape for the congregation. Most of the people at Jackie’s the other night were from Healing Waters. Thanks again for being used of the Lord in such wonderful ways.
